how to age backwards...

Today is the start of my birthday weekend. This is what I expect to look like within the first two hours.
My boss has her birthday on Monday so we are celebrating together. We also made a pack that we will now only age backwards. This year I turn 24. I can't wait to be sixteen again.

the kingdom of the missing sock...

Last week I breathed a sigh of relief when I came across the Kingdom of the missing sock

At the 2010 Beaufort St. Festival, the Highgate Drycleaner's coin laundry room extinguished any belief of my missing socks being devoured by the monster under my bed.

I have now strong faith that they decide to run free.. away from the smell of my tootsies and into the unknown kingdom (until now) of the missing sock.

Below is proof of this sacred land (and the photos from the exhibition I attended).

my polly pocket

aka the pussy wagon.

She set me back 900.
Have never driven one until now. Decided I need a ride to get around Perth. Got her off Gumtree  (trade and exchange website) and picked her up from her old owner at 8am in the morning. Had to drive her home for the first time through peak hour traffic, and since I don't know Perth that well, I had to write directions on my arm so I knew where to go on the 45 minute mission home.

What an adventure.

She got home safe and so did I.

row boat for one

I love spending time with myself. All I did on my day off was wander around markets aimlessly, munch down fresh hoki and chips near the local harbour and scooter around in the beautiful weather until I found a secluded jetty to sunbathe on.

missing you

I was writing a few postcards today to my loved ones in wet n' wild Wellington and realised how much I missed the company of certain girls. I was left pondering on the word MISSING so I grabbed the old dictionary and looked up its definition. It made me feel so sad!! Like I couldn't find my girls and I had lost them for good!
I now vow to never miss again. Just love. :p

Missing
[mis-ing]

–adjective
1.
lacking, absent, or not found: a missing person.
2.
go missing, Chiefly British to disappear; become lost.

beyonce in a bath

yes.. those are HOLLYWOOD bubbles. Just like in the movies, where there is a footclaw bath overlooking some silk blue ocean. And of course some hot chick with perfectly positioned bubbles that never disapear...these were my bubbles.. and even though that hot chick was not me and I had only bath tiles as a picturesque view.. I still claim to be that superstar because that candy cane bubble bar (xmas edition from Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics) made me feel like beyonce in a bath.

YES THIS WAS MY BATH ... and oh it was DELUXE!

These snaps are from a work trip to Melbourne earlier this month,a fluffy bath and a bit windy as you can see.

Karen Walker dress and Country Road suede boots.

a sunstruck room

Heres a shot of my bedroom in my new western Australian home. I moved here recently for work.. coming up to four months now!! funny thing is i'm not really into t.v. (i prefer internet.. yet somehow i have attracted two!) - I think they are more just decoration in my room. :)

..and YES! it overlooks the pool.

evidence of a good night...

so about time to debrief on my birthday celebrations....

it was a very lovely night thanks to my brilliant friends.. alice, the white queen and a few queen of hearts turned up. there were enough rabbits around for everyone to take one home and there were plenty of mad hatters and a couple of cheshire cats and even lady gaga made an appearance!

what also added to the greatness was the amount of randoms that arrived! the place was packed out with a crowd of about eighty.. the dj and his set up could not have been better, but my favorite part was the secret punch! and yes it got out of hand.

with the remainder of a couple friends towards the end of the night, we ended up heading to a bar called alice (very fitting as the theme was alice in wonderland and i was alice for the night) and managed to end it with several rounds of teapots (cocktails served as tea!).

i kidnapped some photo evidence for you all to see from the lovely sparkling wilderness. (she came as gaga)
go check out her page to see how she got the snaps to look this good with her iphone....

fush an' chups

the best thing to do in New Zealand?

apart from visit the mountains and swim in the sea.. you must .. you MUST get some fish and chips and smother them in watties tomato sauce and devour them where you have a view of the ocean.

we did this a hungover sunday ago...

the midnight bloom and her beach halo inspired from the seaweed.. hehe

cute couple joel and tiare with the tomato sauce
gemstar and her summer ice cream

p.s. for all those who are a bit confused... i say fush an' chups due to the way our accent sounds when we kiwi's say fish and chips.
